'WEEN DREAM is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity. Our determination letter is available online by clicking the following link.

Our federal application for exemption (Form 1023) and annual federal return (Form 990) are available for public inspection and copying, as required by the IRS for all 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Please contact us to request these documents and we will promptly reply.

'WEEN DREAM takes very seriously its responsibility to use all public donations in the manner that best accomplishes our mission as recognized by the IRS.

Our Board of Directors is comprised of experienced and qualified individuals who are dedicated to ensuring that 'WEEN DREAM is run with integrity, honesty, and the highest ethical standards. The Directors meet formally several times a year, always with a focus on conducting operations in the nonprofit's best interest, with transparency, and in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

MEET THE 'WEEN TEAM

Officers


Kelsey L. Meeks, Founder & CEO

Kelsey is an attorney at Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, L.L.C. in New Orleans. She has degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi (B.A. '05) and Tulane Law School (J.D. '10), where she was the Senior Managing Editor of Tulane Law Review. After two years of running a local costume donation program, she founded 'WEEN DREAM in 2014 as a national nonprofit organization so that children in need everywhere in America can experience the joy of dressing up for Halloween. Kelsey and her boyfriend, Carlos, live in New Orleans with their beloved cat, Lola. 

Kelsey oversees and works on all aspects of 'WEEN DREAM operations.

 

Alli Womac, Co-Founder &
Chief Operating Officer

Alli, the co-founder of 'WEEN DREAM, has costume expertise that stems from her over 25 years of dance and performance experience, including 10 years as a professional international magician’s assistant. She now owns and operates a digital marketing firm, Scott & Soda. Alli and her husband, Danny, live in New Orleans with their dogs, Dublin (AKA "Dubs") and Cooper.

Alli does anything and everything 'WEEN DREAM may need any given day, and she is the director in charge of our Costume Headquarters. 

 

Greg Bonfanti
Chief Financial Officer

Greg is an experienced grant writer and musician from New Orleans.  He has a Masters in Finance from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York (M.B.A. ’12).  He currently resides in Baton Rouge with his two dogs, Ollie and Foxy.

Greg manages all 'WEEN DREAM financial and accounting issues, and he issues receipts for all donations.


Directors


 Stephanie Villagomez Lemoine

Stephanie is an attorney at Leake & Andersson, L.L.P. in New Orleans and a full-time mom of two. She attended Texas A&M ('04) for her undergraduate studies and earned her law degree from Tulane Law School ('07).  Stephanie has been recognized as one of Louisiana Super Lawyers' "Rising Stars" (2015) for her excellence in the legal profession. She is also an avid runner, having run multiple half-marathons and one full marathon. Stephanie and her husband, Ron, live in St. Rose, Louisiana with their two children, Thor and Claire.

Stephanie is a local group coordinator for New Orleans area schools and programs receiving costumes from 'WEEN DREAM.

 

Bruce Katz

Bruce is an award-winning meteorologist at FOX 8 New Orleans with thirty years of excellence in his field. His professional achievements are equalled by his dedication to many charities and nonprofits in the New Orleans area, including Coats For Kids, which he founded and lead for seventeen years giving 120,000 coats to kids in need. Bruce became a part of 'WEEN DREAM during the Halloween 2014 season when he served as a top volunteer and champion for the organization, and he joined the board of directors in December 2014. Bruce and his wife of over 25 years, Karen, have two children.

Bruce is a community outreach and public relations director for 'WEEN DREAM.

 

Mike L. Porter

Mike, a founding member of 'WEEN DREAM, is an NCO in the U.S. Air Force who has served our country at home and abroad, including multiple deployments to Afghanistan, for nearly seventeen years. He has two "awesome" sons, Gabriel and Blake.

Mike promotes and organizes 'WEEN DREAM costume donation efforts outside of Louisiana.

Toni Shirley

Toni is the VP of Training & Development Manager at Fidelity Bank. She has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry and 14 years of experience in training. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology. Toni is a member of the National and New Orleans chapters of the Association of Talent Development and the Society for Human Resource Management. She also volunteers for Animal Rescue of New Orleans (ARNO) and Junior Achievement of Louisiana, and she is a tutor for the New Hope CDC program in Kenner, Louisiana.

Toni, who joined the 'WEEN DREAM board in 2017, coordinates local fundraising efforts and costume donation programs.
