‘WEEN DREAM is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit that gives free Halloween costumes to children in need. Donate a costume and give the gift of Halloween!
'WEEN DREAM gives costumes to kids from all over America who are faced with unique challenges, including those with special needs, physical and/or mental disabilities, homeless children, kids living in poverty or at shelters, children with serious medical issues, kids in the foster care system, and kids who have experienced a recent trauma or natural disaster.
The deadline for groups to apply was August 18, 2016. We are at capacity for this Halloween and, unfortunately, are unable to accept any additional group/school/shelter/hospital requests for costumes. We encourage you to apply early next year so that we may consider your application. Please keep in mind that we are an all-volunteer nonprofit (no employees) with an extremely small budget. Accordingly, groups we ship costumes to outside of the New Orleans area are limited to 20 costumes. Please check back here in mid-June of 2017 for the 2017 Group Application.
The last day to apply was August 18, 2016. If you were impacted by the recent flooding in Louisiana, please read below. If you were not affected by the Louisiana flooding but were unable to apply during the regular timeframe for any other reason, please see our FAQ page regarding how to apply for a costume and our policies regarding costume applications after the deadline.
As a Louisiana-based nonprofit, the members and volunteers of 'WEEN DREAM are especially saddened by the recent deadly flooding in our state. It has always been our policy to consider late requests for costumes from anyone affected by any natural disaster or other unforeseeable event. However, due to the large number of applications we expect to receive due to the flooding disaster, we have left a special flood-victim application posted on our website to accommodate the large number of applicants. To access the special flood application, click here.
We will continue to accept applicants on a rolling basis for as long as possible, depending on our ability to provide costumes for applicants. Applications are reviewed, and costumes matched to applicants, in the order they are received.
Please note that. Although we wish we could provide costumes for all applicants, we are limited by what is donated to us each year. Accordingly, no applicant is ever guaranteed acceptance into the program, and even those who are accepted are never guaranteed to receive a costume or any particular costume. Thanks for understanding!
