Special thanks to today's supporters
The 'WEEN TEAM finished our 501c3 application (so that donations to our organization can be tax-exempt, if approved), but we still needed help from the public to raise the $400 filing fee that has to be included with the application. And we were blessed and so thankful to receive a great response from the public! We just wanted to take a minute to thank a few special people and businesses who believed in us enough to make donations that help get us off the ground. So here they are!
Coastal Machinery Company, a family-owned construction equipment company in Pensacola, Florida, shared our request for help on Facebook and added this, "Coastal Machinery will donate $50.00 to Ween Dream for this good cause. Thanks for all the work you do for the kids. Lets us know where to send the check." Awesome, right?! That prompted matching donations from several other people, which brings us to...
Donna Howell Munro (Biloxi, MS), Joe Meeks (Pensacola, FL), Carla Pm (New Mexico), Jennifer Thomas Bodin (New Orleans, LA), Margarita Rivera (New Orleans, LA), James Evans (Mound, MN), and Emily Leidner (Pensacola, FL), who all made individual contributions to help us with the filing fee. They are our heroes!
And a special thanks to some very dear Tulane Law Review alumni, each of whom found time out of their busy schedules as attorneys to make generous donations today: Justin Woodard (Washington, DC), Camille Gauthier (New Orleans, LA), and Kimberly Cheeseman (Houston, TX). Go Green Wave!
We'd also like to thank the people and businesses who shared our requests on social media, including Jacquie Lantern, Phil Crain, Emily Kirkpatrick, Evil Twin Studios, Omaha Metro Haunters, and Vibrato LLC. You guys rock!
With all the support we received, we'll be able to file our 501c3 application this week. You made that happen, and we are eternally grateful to you for that. We can't wait to show you all the amazing things we'll be able to do because of your contributions!
