Donation Bin Stolen from 'WEEN DREAM

We're sad to report that someone stole the donation box that has been outside of our costume headquarters in New Orleans for the last three years. Fortunately, we believe the box was empty when it was stolen (except for some 'WEEN DREAM flyers and information for donors to grab when they left their costumes).

Until we are able to obtain a new donation box, please either mail your costumes to our costume headquarters (the mail is only delivered during business hours, so mail is not affected by the box being stolen) or drop them off during the American Legion's regular business hours. All the information you need to send us costumes is still located on the DONATE COSTUMES tab of the website.

If you have a donation box you'd like to give us to replace the one that was stolen, please let us know! You can email alli@weendream.org. Thanks!

Halloween Season Is Upon Us!

It may be the middle of summertime for most of the country, but here at 'WEEN DREAM we are gearing up for October 2016!

We invite Halloween fans across America to check out our Pumpkin Patch Pledge, which lets you pledge to sponsor one or more kids in need of a new costume this Halloween by purchasing a costume for your assigned child. Pretty cool! You can even let us know if you prefer a boy or a girl, a certain age range, or the type of in-need situation the child you sponsor is facing. The more Pumpkin Patch Pledges we get, the more kids we'll be able to help this Halloween!

We have also opened our group and individual costume application process for families and organizations seeking 'WEEN DREAM costumes for their kids this October. The first part of the application process closes on Thursday, August 18, 2016. So get started early, and share the page with anyone who may want to apply!

'WEEN DREAM Volunteers Give Out Costumes for Halloween 2015

It's been a busy week here at 'WEEN DREAM!

On Saturday, October 17, 'WEEN DREAM volunteers and student-volunteers from Sci Academy organized costume pick-up for all the New Orleans area nonprofits and schools we gave costumes to this year: Ronald McDonald House Nola, The Good Shepherd School, Educare, Youth Empowerment Project, ReNEW Cultural Arts Academy, Covenant House New Orleans, CASA Jefferson (LA), Boys Hope Girls Hope, and Exodus Place.

We also shipped costumes to families and other nonprofits serving children in need in 24 states, including two CASA groups in Oregon!

Last but definitely not least, on Wednesday, October 21, 'WEEN DREAM was thrilled to have ABC's The Chew in town to film our volunteers giving costumes to kids at The Good Shepherd School and Covenant House New Orleans!

You can see our story on Wednesday, October 28's episode of The Chew on ABC across America at 1pm EST // 12pm CST!
